Boris Nikolaev Iliev

Boris Iliev built his career in established Sofia law firms before taking the lead of this practice. His day-to-day work sits where business, property and migration meet: a founder who needs a company, a bank account, a residence permit and an apartment usually needs all four handled as one plan, and that is the kind of brief he enjoys most.

On the corporate side he advises Bulgarian and international companies, investors and private clients on incorporations and reorganisations, capital increases and reductions, transfers of shares and ownership changes, governance questions, and the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts. He regularly steers inbound investment projects from the first structuring memo through to completion.

He has handled a large volume of migration files: visas, long-term and permanent residence, access to the labour market, trade representative offices, family reunification, and citizenship procedures on the grounds of Bulgarian origin and naturalisation.

His property practice covers purchases and sales, title reviews, partition of co-owned property, and contractual questions arising from construction work. In court, he acts in civil and administrative cases, including challenges to decisions of the migration authorities.

Clients tend to value his habit of pricing in the practical side of every option — cost, timing, tax and day-to-day workability — before recommending a structure.
